About CFWE
The mission of the Colorado Foundation for Water Education is to promote better understanding of Colorado's water resources and issues by providing balanced and accurate information and education. We accomplish our mission through the production of high-quality educational tools and experiences—which we've been doing since 2002.
When implementing these programs, CFWE maintains an unbiased, objective viewpoint that encompasses diverse perspectives on water resource issues. CFWE advocates only for the availability of unbiased water education information. We never take a position or lobby on specific water issues.
CFWE's goals for 2015-2018 are encompassed in our strategic plan. Those new goals are:
- Ensure that decision-makers of today and tomorrow facing complex and important water resource decisions have the knowledge and skills needed to make informed decisions
- Ensure diverse perspectives are incorporated into water conversations by connecting decision-makers with myriad peers, stakeholders and citizens in a low pressure environment
- Stabilize program growth and further diversify and stabilize revenues
- Ensure a robust and effective, yet efficient, organizational governing and advisory structure
